Phillips Safety Lampworking Eye Protection

Phillips202 is an advanced version of Rose Didymium. Amethyst Contrast Enhancement Glass (ACE) utilizes rare earth oxides in the glass composition to acheive unique color enhancing characteristics as well as filter the sodium flare. These are not recommended for working with borosilicate glass.

Phillips Green Ace is a specially formulated glass filter lens designed to provide additional IR protection needed when working with borosilicate glass. Green Ace is available in a Glassworker Shade 3 or 5 full coverage lens.

For those that are working with borosilicate glass, it is recommended that you use the Clip-On/Flip-Up lenses in additon to your Phillips202 Lens.

Very durable Polycarbonate Clip-On/Flip-Up Shaded Lens. These will provide more IR protection in conjuction with Phillips202 glasses.

These are available in Shade #3 and #5. It is suggested that if you work with solid color borosilicate glass on a regular basis to use Shade #5. If you are naturally sensitive to bright light, you may wish to use Shade #5.

It is suggested that these be replaced every 6-9 months.
